Looking for my great-grandfather, John or Jurko Szuchan. He came to America via Ellis Island July 1909. He listed his place of residence as Nagyabranka, Hungary. He was 16 years old at the time.
Using One Step in locating an Ellis Island manifest there were 6 people from Nagyabranka. There was a Janos which is John in English and Jurko (dimunitive of Juraj)which is George in English. Altogether there were 53 SZUCHANs
Check out even Vassil Szuchan's manifest. He was from Nobronka (N.abranka). Another one to look at is SUCHAN from Najd Obranka.
